West Side of Chicago
Meet your cousin
Tiera Oleary, known to everybody as Cousin Tiera, is a stand-up comedian and actress raised on the West Side of Chicago.
She first touched the mic in 2016 and built her voice on Chicago stages long before the internet caught up.
Then the "Black Mom" videos went viral in late 2019 and early 2020, and the rest of the world met what Chicago already knew: animated storytelling, catchphrases that stick, and family dinners turned into full-blown comedic theater. The videos even caught the attention of Tyler Perry.
Since then she's headlined four national runs, landed on Kevin Hart's Funny AF on Netflix, opened for Mike Epps, and shared the stage with Bill Bellamy, TK Kirkland, Damon Williams, Cedric the Entertainer and Mojo Brooks. She also makes and stars in her own series, Momma Knows Best.
